If you are using kodi any version before Kodi v17.01 “Krypton”  please update to the Kodi v17.01 “Krypton”  it is so damn cool! There is a new way clearer interface, new add-ons including Plex! If you are running Kodi on a raspberry pi using openelec it looks are if the updated breaks the use of remote controls. I have only tested my raspberry pi but that was my case.
